Banner Making Options
Most silkpainted banners that we create together measure 45" x 72"They can be designed to hang vertically or horizontally.
All painted silk artwork requires a one month turn around time for its completion.
Option 1
With at least one month lead time, you tell me what concepts and images you want included on your banner, communicate that to me, and then I design the banner in my studio. At an agreed upon time, I come to you with everything we need to bring the art to life!
$1500 / banner (plus travel expenses)
Option 2
I come to you. I engage participants in a series of hands on activities to determine subject matter and imagery for banner design. With you, on the spot, I design and prepare the silk for painting. You then paint. Allow 2.5 hours.
You won't believe what you made happen!
Fee is determined by size of finished piece, number of participants, travel, etc.
“Banner-in-a-Box”
You tell me what concepts and images you want included on your banner and I design it in my studio.
I send everything you need--- prepared silk, dyes, frames, pins, and brushes to you. Someone at your end then takes charge of setting up & supervising painting on your schedule.
Materials & supplies are then sent back to me for completion.
$1200 / banner (plus shipping) Deposit fee for equipment. “Touch up” is available for an additional fee.
The painted silk fabric can be transformed into things other than banners including ritual objects like the ark curtain on the right, created by members of Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, Great Barrington, MA.
Images of the art can be transferred onto all sorts of things--- mugs, totes, just about anything!
